Common questions
Which apostille guide should I read first?
Start with the guide for your document type, such as a birth certificate or diploma, because the preparation rules differ by document. If you are new to apostilles entirely, read What Is an Apostille first, then check Countries We Serve to confirm your destination accepts one.
Do I need to know my destination country before I order?
Yes. The country receiving your document decides whether it needs an apostille or a different process called legalization. Confirm your country is a Hague Convention member on our Countries We Serve page before ordering, since that is what determines eligibility at checkout.
Can I get more than one Pennsylvania document apostilled at once?
Yes. You can send multiple documents in a single order. The state charges its $15 fee per document, and each document receives its own apostille certificate. Our checkout lets you add each document so everything travels to Harrisburg together.
Is the information in these guides legal advice?
No. Our guides are plain-English reference material to help you prepare, not legal advice. Requirements change over time and vary by destination country, so treat these pages as a starting point and confirm anything time-sensitive before you order.
